They arent killing the PS3 but they sure have killed the dominance they had for the last 10 years.
Sony will never ever ever be in the position they were in the 2 last gens.

The PS3 with a high price tag is selling pretty good.Theyre selling as well if not even a tiny bit better than the 360 which is almost 2 times cheaper.
With all the money Sony's lost and is losing because of the PS3 I think "taking over the industry" isnt a priority at all.They first have to get their finances balanced before cutting the price.There is no emergency right now , theyre on par with the 360 in WW sales.It would be a differant story if they were being outsol...

The 360 is doing great compared to the xbox.The 360 is actually selling like expected.
The PS3 is a disaster compared to the ps2.The ps2 was selling 5 times more at the same period in Japan.Sony wasnt expecting that.

Remember all the theories about how all the 120 million ps2 gamers were all going to upgrade to PS3 when GTA4 , MGS4 , Socom etc come out.

People were actually expecting the PS3 to be ALOT closer to 360 worldwide install base.
So either the 360 is doing better than expected or the PS3 isnt selling as fast as expected.
We're end 2008 , 360 starting to outsell the PS3 in USA , sales are up in EU and PS3 refuses to take off in Japan.

In 2007 everybody was saying the PS3 was dead , a couple of months later the very same people were predicting the death of the 360 end 2008.
